Act 1: Manuscript Review

A manuscript review is an overall assessment that highlights aspects of the story that still need improvement. As a bonus, I provide a plot roadmap of your novel that outlines the key scenes of the genre you’re writing in.

- An initial consultation meeting on Google Meets where we meet to talk about your book, and what your vision for it is.
- A full in-depth read through of your manuscript.
- A written editorial letter where I assess the manuscript and provide observations and suggestions that can help you improve the story. At the end of the letter, I suggest what type of editing I recommend for your manuscript.
- A plot roadmap of your novel as bonus.
- A second meeting on Google Meets where we can address your questions about the editorial letter and proposed next steps.
Act 2: Developmental Edit

A developmental edit is an in-depth review of the elements of fiction writing like plot, conflict and tension, setting, dialogue, theme, etc. Bonuses: plot roadmap and a comprehensive review of the scenes in your manuscript.
What’s Included?
- An initial consultation on Google Meets where we meet to talk about your book, and what your vision for it is.
- A full in-depth read through of your manuscript.
- Marginal comments throughout the document.
- A written editorial letter where I provide an in-depth analysis of your manuscripts and suggest edits the content and structure of your book. In this document, I explain why these issues are a problem and provide you with some solutions that might help you fix the problem. Here, I help you tackle issues concerning plot structure, tension (or lack thereof), conflict and dialogue, character development, pacing and storytelling.
- A plot roadmap and a comprehensive review of the scenes in your manuscript as bonuses.
- A follow-up meeting on Google Meets where we can address your questions about the editorial letter.
Act 3: Line and Copy Edit

A line edit scrutinizes every word, phrase, sentence, paragraph, section, and chapter of your manuscript. It goes hand-in-hand with a copy edit, which focuses on the mechanics of writing, grammar, and punctuation errors.
What’s Included?
- A full in-depth read through of your manuscript.
- A thorough revision of your manuscript scrutinizing every word, phrase, sentence, paragraph of your book. These revisions will be marked as comments on the margins of your manuscript through Microsoft Word Track Changes.
- A revision of the mechanics of writing, on spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Style and consistency are also important here. These revisions are marked in the text with Microsoft Word Track Changes.
- A style spreadsheet
Epilogue: Proofreading

Proofreading is the final stage of the editing process, and it is where documents are carefully reviewed for surface-level errors like spelling mistakes, grammar, punctuation, and formatting. Its purpose is to catch and correct minor mistakes that were missed in earlier stages of editing to make sure that the text is clean, professional, and error-free before publication or sharing.
I only accept manuscripts that I haven’t read before.
What’s Included?
- A full in-depth read through of your manuscript.
- Last minute misspellings, incorrect/missed punctuation, inconsistencies, etcetera, that might have occurred in previous stages of editing and that have been missed thus far.
- The revisions are marked on Microsoft Word Track Changes.
